Laws, Policies and Institutions

The funding for the project was received from the Federal Government under the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) Informational Linkages and Capacity building grant program - which was implemented in recognition of the laws and policies which protect the rights of people with disability. Within the website, there is also a focus on anti-discriminatory laws and policies which support the rights of women with disability.

Community organizations

As the only national representative organisation for women and girls with disability in Australia, WWDA works closely with a range of community organisations and DPO's.

Workplace accommodations

As a feminist disability organisation, WWDA strives to provide a supportive and accommodating environment to its employees and volunteers. This includes workplace accomodations such as working from home arrangements and flexible hours, as well as accessible communications, such as ensuring individuals have access to interpreters, accessible PDF and Word Documents and information in Easy Read.
