In 2005, with my facilitation, YPSA established ICT and Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (IRCD), Bangladesh’s 1st ICT based innovation center, and partnered with DAISY consortium and gathered experiences in producing and distributing DAISY Digital talking books and since then over 10000+ individual members, 20 organizational members, and 150000 students with visual, print and learning disabilities of different classes and institutions have been directly benefited by YPSA’s Accessible Publication and training.

With my facilitation, YPSA has introduced Inclusive Finance in 2015-2016 by partnering with Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) of Bangladesh Government and since then it is running an intensive financing and skill development program for economic empowerment and generate employment for people with disabilities. Under this initiative, YPSA has given monetary support as well as loan and different need-based skill development training along with support for business development to hundreds of persons with disabilities. Many of these beneficiaries have established themselves as a successful role model of self-employment. That is why this initiative is being widely considered as a model for the whole of Bangladesh.

With my facilitation, YPSA has introduced DAISY in Bangladesh and with the support of a2i of Bangladesh Government, YPSA has developed DAISY digital multimedia talking books, Accessible E-books, Digital Braille Books for the students of class I to X which proved much accessible and cost-effective than the inaccessible paper books.

The accessible dictionary has been developed by a group of persons with disabilities, led by me. As part of the initiative, I along with YPSA and a2i have converted 12,000 pages of 4 dictionaries (Bangla to English, English to Bangla, Bangla to Bangla, and English to English) into Unicode text readable by any screen-reading software and Digital text which can be easily printed in braille, and developed 3 versions of application – web-based (for online access), desktop (for offline usage), and android based (for smartphones) – to ensure maximum compatibility.
