Jeison Aristizabal

My top 3 facilitators

Health care and rehabilitative services

He created Asodisvalle to assist and support families who have children with disabilities.
Most of Cali's households have limited access to resources, he has managed to reach them and change their lives. First bringing wheelchairs to the children who were left at home, resocializing and bringing life to them. Most of these kids died at the age of 14, but since his intervention nowadays they have job opportunities and therapists who help them in their rehabilitation process.

Laws, Policies and Institutions

Jeison has led many actions to raise awareness in the local government so they implement the correct laws and protect this population.
He is constantly working into bringing human rights policies to each person with disabilities and his families or caregivers.

Education

His dream is to build the first Inclusive education Center in Latin America, and to serve professionals in different areas to learn how to work with people with disabilities.
He has been working in this field for over 10 years and due to the current pandemic his work has been delivered online, this has brought a wider understanding and a deeper approach to inclusive learning on virtuality.
